- What is LCTA in relationship to CTA and NEA?
LCTA is an affiliate of CTA (California Teachers Association). CTA has over 300,000 members in California. One of CTA's primary objectives is to affect education policy at the state level. For instance, CTA played a crucial role in the passage of Proposition 30 to support K-12 funding. LCTA and CTA are part of NEA (National Education Association) which has over 3 million members in the nation. NEA works to affect education policy at the national level.
What are some of the benefits of being part of CTA and NEA?
There are many benefits to being part of CTA and NEA. You would become eligible for membership in CTA-endorsed credit unions. You could apply for a CTA Visa card through Bank of America.
