What do I love about
teaching?
I love the kids! I am excited
every morning to wake up and enter my classroom because I know that my
students will present me with new challenges every minute of my
day. I love when they learn something new and begin to smile from
ear to ear. It is great to celebrate the love of learning that
occurs every day in classrooms all around the world. I am
extremely
proud to be involved in a profession that that is so exciting and
challenging!

What do I love about
teaching?
I love experiencing with my
students the “Aha!” moment of discovery as they make the connection
between the concepts and real life experience.
It is very gratifying to hear from
former students who tell you how much the hard work in their AP course
helped them in college.
My students who come every
day with challenging questions and new ways to look at the world or to
solve a problem make my teaching meaningful.

What do I like about teaching?
Teaching is dynamic, exciting and
ever changing. Students make my day! No day is quite the same, no lesson
quite the same. Current issues keep lessons fresh and relevant.
The reward is seeing a student take pride in a job well done or a concept
mastered. These words of Lee Iacocca seem to summarize my feelings - "In a completely
rational society the best of us would aspire to be teachers and the rest
of us would have to settle for something less, because passing
civilization along from one generation to the next ought to be the highest honor
and the highest responsibility anyone could have."
